Journey through the museum begins with the hall “Uzda region from ancient times to the beginning of the Great Patriotic War”. There you can see the stone devices found during the excavation of sites and burials of ancient people. The museum’s granaries store rich material that tells about the life of the population of the district, handicraft, manufacturing, education, culture of that time. In Uzda, Moshe Feinstein was born – one of the leading Orthodox rabbis of the second half of the 20th century.
Uzda region gave the world to the artist Yevgeny Zak, one of the famous representatives of the Paris School, whose works are sold at auctions at record prices, stored in well-known museums, are exhibited at prestigious exhibitions.
In the estate Kukhtichi was born a well-known archaeologist Jan Kazimir Zavisha. His daughter Magdalena Radziwill was engaged in patronage and socio-political activities. With its financial support, Maxim Bogdanovich, Constantsiya Builo, Yakub Kolas and other Belarusian authors published their books.
