The Logoysk district is famous for its rich and ancient history, which is intimately related to the family of Tyshkiewich. Representatives of this dynasty for more than four centuries owned the city and, as could, contributed to its development. Thus, thanks to the activities of the brothers Constantine and Eustace Tyshkiewich, Logoysk became the center of archaeological and historical science. The Museum has become a matter of the whole life of the brothers and has a long and fascinating history. The brothers Tyshkiewich being highly educated, devoted himself to the study of his native land, studied the mounds, hill-FORTS, citadels in the Minsk province and other regions of Belarus. For their work, the brothers gained fame and recognition among scientists in the world. They were honorary members of the Imperial Academy of Sciences of Sweden, the Institute of archaeology in London, as well as many scientific domestic and foreign partnerships.
