The Gantsevichi regional museum of local lore was established in Gantsevichi on 01.01.1997 by the decision of the Gantsevichi District Executive Committee. Open for visitors on October 20, 2002 to the 120th anniversary of the birth of the classic of Belarusian literature Yakub Kolas. The museum was directed by Ivan Ivanovich Korolenko, Stepan L. Rozumets, Alla Zanko. Since July 2014 the director Natalia Vladimirovna Kulesh.
The basic fund of the museum (as of 01.01.2018) comprises 6861 subjects (3648 – the basic fund, 3213 – the scientific and auxiliary). The exposition area is 146 m². The museum’s funds comprise collections of archaeological finds from excavations of monuments of the Stone and Bronze Ages on the territory of the district, clothing collection, numismatics, photo materials about the life and way of life of townspeople, painting and decorative art, documents. Among the most interesting exhibits are wall clocks presented personally by the Emperor Alexander III K.A. Krupenich, the former master of the railway station Malkovichi, glass balls – the products of the Kraevsky and Stolle glassworks, the Orthodox icons of the 17th-20th centuries. The main exposition is located in 4 exposition and exhibition halls.
