On the outskirts of the agro-town of Rusino, next to the wooden log house of the church, among the birches, pines and oaks is the regional craft center, created in 2003. The center is located in the building of the former Polish school, built in 1937. Such a building is a rarity, because in Western Belarus there were only two wooden schools built under the Polish government.

Now in the five halls of the former school building there is an exposition of the museum, telling about the history of the Baranovichi region from ancient times to our days.

In the first room there is a rich archaeological collection: articles of flint, processed by the hand of an ancient man, fragments of stucco ceramics. If you carefully consider the fragments of the vessels, you can see traces of burnt grass in the walls of pots, and in the ornamented patterns – consider the traces of female fingers.

The dioramas of the site of the Iron Age and the ancient temples allow you to feel the spirit of the epoch. It turns out that a sacrificial stone from such a temple has been preserved on the territory of the district. One can even consider how modern Christians unconsciously repeat the elements of ancient rituals: they hang up scraps of cloth on a branch of a bush located near a boulder.

The exposition presents excavations in Novogrudok, which in the 13th century was the first capital of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania. This is a fragment of the Amphora of the Byzantine Empire, birch bark letters, fragments of glassware. During the period of GDL, most of the Baranavichy land fell into the possession of the Khodkevich family. Their emblem, granted by the Holy Roman Emperor of the German nation (the coat of arms represented in the exposition), allowed representatives of the clan to participate in the meetings of the parliament of the empire.

There is also a diorama of Novomysh Castle – the family castle of the Khodkevich family, which was destroyed in the middle of the XVII century during the war of the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth with the Moscow kingdom. Now from him there was only one castle. Under the diorama are placed the originals of stone kernels, released on the castle during the assault.
