Looking around the sights along Independence Avenue, you will meet many beautiful squares such as Yakub Kolas Square, Victory Square and Yanka Kupala Square. On Yakub Kolas Square in Minsk, not far from the metro station of the same name, you should pay attention to the building of the Philharmonic Society built in 1937. The Belarusian State Philharmonic Society was reconstructed and only the foundation remained from the former building. Now this modern building meets all world standards and is a prestigious musical institution of Belarus
In the building of the State Philharmonic there are 2 concert halls. The Great Philharmonic Hall, previously housed 930 people, was reduced to 690 to improve acoustics. It is designed in the style of art nouveau and all elements of the decor are sustained in noble green colors. Soft comfortable chairs filled a mezzanine, a balcony and a parterre. The decoration of the small hall is less solemn, but also elegant. Columns, harmoniously fit into the hall, make it festive and ceremonial. The hall is designed for 190 seats.
The poster of the Belarusian State Philharmonic is diverse from the first days of its existence. As soon as the collectives, ensembles and soloists received the building of the Philharmonic in 1937, they began to try to make each new season have its own peculiarity and new look, but the tradition, which has passed through the years, has become serious music and enlightening activity. The Belarusian State Philharmonic Society offers to enjoy performances of foreign performers, laureates of International competitions, state orchestras represented in different musical directions, whether it is organ music, guitar, chamber or brass bands, violin, piano. Reading the poster at the building of the State Philharmonic Society or studying it in the press, you are sure to find that idea that you will surely want to visit.
There are a lot of sights in Minsk, but the aesthetic pleasure received from the performance, the memory of which will last for a long time, can be given only by the Belarusian State Philharmonic Society.
