The Second World War left a bloody trace for many years in the history of the city of Minsk. Monument to the soldiers of the Soviet Army “Eternal Memory for the Sons of the Soviet People”, one of the many memorial complexes of our city, which immortalized the memory of Soviet soldiers and civilians who did not surrender under the yoke of the German fascist invaders.
It is located on the street. Timiryazev near the final “Vesnyanka” near the Minsk Arena. The memorial complex is built over a real city of the dead. At this point in the period from 1941 to 1944, 80,000 Soviet soldiers and civilians were shot and tortured. The complex “Eternal Memory to the Sons of the Soviet People” adorns the eternal fire, which does not allow to forget about those horrors experienced by our grandfathers and great-grandfathers.
