Mikhail Myasnikovich was born on May 6, 1950 in the village of Novy Snov, Nesvizh district, Minsk region.
In 1967 he graduated from the Snovsky secondary school with a silver medal. In 1972 he graduated from the Brest Engineering and Construction Institute. In 1989 he graduated from the Minsk Higher Party School. Doctor of Economic Sciences (1998), Professor (2003), Corresponding Member of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus (2009). Honorary Doctor of the St. Petersburg State University of Economics (2008) and the Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology (2011), Honorary Professor of the Brest State Technical University (2013), Honorary Professor of the Belarusian State University (2017). Has prepared three candidates of sciences.
Since December 28, 2010 – the Prime Minister of the Republic of Belarus (replaced as Sergei Sidorsky, who was prime minister since December 2003). December 27, 2014 appointed chairman of the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly. He is married. He has a son and a daughter, three grandchildren.
