This unique girder-gully complex is located within the city of Mozyr and its suburban zone. The reserve was created with the purpose of preserving a unique natural element for the Belarusian Polesye, as well as for the protection of rare and endangered plant species growing within this territory.
As a rule, ravines are surrounded and covered with fairly thick thickets of trees and shrubs. On the slopes of the southern exposition pine and pine-birch are predominant, on opposite slopes – hornbeam-oak plantings.
On the territory of the reserve grows a forest anemone, included as a relic and decorative rarity in the Red Data Book of the Republic of Belarus. In the Mozyr ravines, there is also an exceptionally rare plant for the flora of the republic – the European clopogon, listed in the Red Book of Belarus.
Visiting these territories, you should follow special rules of conduct. On the territory of the reserve it is forbidden to call in motor vehicles, as well as to build fireplaces. With the purpose of propaganda of nature protection, the forestry equipped demonstration recreation areas with fireplaces in the route zone.
